The Future of Office Culture

Acting as the centerpiece of a Senior Living Community Center sits this lush atrium garden. We have had the honor of maintaining and enhancing the interior landscape of this space since we took over the maintenance in 2015. Since then, we have formed an incredible collaboration with the managers and residents of the property. The residents truly cherish these gardens as their space to unwind, relax, socialize, and take in nature. We correspond with a committee of residents that are especially invested in the gardens. We receive their feedback and suggestions on enhancements to the gardens, and work with them to implement these suggestions, while still remaining true to the original design intent of the space.

Many of the residents utilize walkers and wheelchairs to move around the space, so safety is of the upmost importance. Our horticulturalists work carefully to ensure that any area of the garden that is receiving service is cordoned off. There is a beautiful water feature and koi pond that streams throughout the space. Since there are live Koi Fish and Turtles living in the water, our horticultural team is mindful to only use beneficial biological pest solutions.

Kim and her team do a fantastic job, and I am sure that their work is responsible for many of our perspective residents choosing to live at our property. We are grateful to have a company that takes such pride in their work maintaining a key element of our space.

Client Testimonial

The resident garden committee put in a special request to introduce more color to the space. To provide a solution, and stay within their operating budget, we introduced a program of plantings with colorful foliage in lieu of a flower rotation. Implementing colorful croton and tricolor marginata, among other foliage creates a great pop of color amongst the lush green anchor plantings.

This atrium is a very dynamic space, where special events can pop up out of nowhere, so we are always working to accommodate our client by adjusting our service times, while still sticking to our comprehensive service schedule. The large Ficus Trees that act as the centerpiece of the garden are pruned by our special projects team twice a year. We're proud to say that we have had a 100% success rate and have not lost a single one of the 17 large Ficus Trees since we assumed maintenance in 2015.
